As we come to the end of one more glorious Rotary year, my pen is slowly inking up, preparing itself to write the first chapter of the next. Every moment is a fresh beginning, not about expecting, hoping and wishing, but about doing, being and becoming – The dreams of the future building on the history of the past.

Kudos to IPP Sudhir for sustaining all odds of the lingering pandemic. The Dream Team has worked tirelessly to ensure that timely help was given to the needy in the society throughout the year. Thank you for keeping the RODEO flag flying high.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson rightly said,

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honourable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

Let us all put our best foot forward to accomplish this wonderful way of life. For the past 35+ years, our Past Presidents have strived hard to make a significant difference to the community at large. Let us continue with the honourable work for everyone who needs a compassionate hand so that we prove to ourselves that we have lived well.

Rotary International President Jennifer Jones has asked Rotarians to dream big and take action. She said,

“We all have dreams, but acting on them is a choice. Imagine a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference”.

The Alpha Directors and Chairmen are planning and working towards an eventful year. They have dared to dream big. The community around us deserves our compassion and we will not leave any stone unturned to make a difference.

There are two types of people in this world:

Givers & Takers – The Takers may Eat Better, but the Givers surely Sleep Better.

And as RODEOS, we always are here to give and not to take.
